About Us
JMC Dance & Music was founded with the aim of creating a welcoming place where students can learn, perform, make friends and have fun, whilst developing their skills and confidence.
Whether taking their very first dance steps or working towards becoming a confident performer, we believe that every student should feel encouraged, valued and proud of what they can achieve.

Meet Julie
From a young age, Julie has always had a passion for dance and performing. Growing up in the Midlands, she spent her childhood taking part in competitions, shows and performances, before beginning to share her love of dance with others.
Whilst studying for her A-Levels, Julie helped to run a local stage school and began teaching and choreographing at the dance school where she trained. This early experience sparked her passion for teaching and inspired her to pursue a career in dance and performing arts.
Julie then moved to London to further her training, graduating from Middlesex University with a First Class Degree in Dance Performance. Since graduating, she has worked professionally with a variety of dance companies and performers, taking part in shows and events across the UK.
Alongside her professional performance career, Julie has continued to develop her passion for teaching. She has taught dance, music and performing arts in schools, studios and venues across London, working with children and adults of all ages and abilities.
Her Approach
Julie believes that dance should be fun, inspiring and inclusive, whilst also providing students with the skills, technique and confidence to develop as performers. Her classes combine a professional approach to training with a friendly and encouraging atmosphere, helping students to feel comfortable, build confidence and enjoy every step of their dance journey.
“I love seeing students grow in confidence, discover what they can achieve and, most importantly, develop a genuine love for dance and performing.”
